Presented by: Dr. Cathy Pressnell
There is no one better equipped to be a voice in the world of education policy than those in classrooms every day … our teachers. Often, teachers are unsure of how policy works, how to communicate their ideas, and how to effectively engage with stakeholders about education issues that are important to them. In this session, participants will gain an overview of how policy is made in education, learn specific strategies for crafting and sharing a message of their own, and explore opportunities to engage with education policy at the state level. This session is ideal for teachers in grades K-12.
